Facts of The Case: Television network company Channel Seven through its current affairs program Today Tonight seen by national audiences, was accused of implying a Sydney laser eye surgery clinic, Sydney Refractive Surgery Centre, did not adequately warn patients of the treatment of eye therapy. The Chatswood based surgery sued the Seven network over an interview with another medical specialist on Today Tonight about the clinic's introductory video to patients. The interviewed ophthalmologist was a Mr. Paul Beaumont, while the respective owner of the clinic taking legal action was a Dr. Lawless. Name of Court: The case was heard and took trial in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
