COMMERCIAL LAW: ASPECTS OF COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS INTRODUCTION The contract sale is the most important element of 'Commercial Law Aspects of Commercial Transactions'. Most of the law in this area is to be found in the Sales of Goods Act 1979 (as amended). Contracts involving the sales of goods are governed by the general law of contract and by the terms of the contract itself. The Sales of Goods Act ('the Act') represents a codification of aspects of the common law particular to contracts for the sale of goods. ' A contract of sales of goods' is a contract by which the seller transfers or agrees to transfer the property (ownership) in goods to the buyer for a money consideration called the price'1 The relevant law that will apply to the following case study is as follows: * The Sales of Goods Act 1979 as amended.
