Lucia v Captain Puffin Captain Puffin is more than likely to want Lucia to supply and fit the double glazed units at the 50% price advertised. This is a non-monetary remedy and the act that Captain Puffin desires Lucia to perform is specific performance. Another plausible remedy could be that Lucia has to pay another double-glazing firm to provide Captain puffin with the same or similar service (as would have been provided by Lucia) with Captain puffin contributing (what he would have initially paid Lucia) to the cost. The aim of either remedies is essentially to keep Captian puffin in the same condition (financially or otherwise) as he would have been in had a binding contract between Lucia and himself been formed and carried out.
