Beth replies on December 2 that she is interested in buying the watch, but wishes to know whether the watch still keeps good time. Ravi, knowing the watch does not keep good time, decides to sell it to Chris instead. On December 3, he sends Chris an e-mail offering to sell him the watch for £950 and asks for a reply by December 7. On December 6, Beth, having decided that she wants the watch regardless of whether it keeps good time, sends a letter by 2nd class post to Ravi in which she agrees to buy the watch for £1,000.
