During the course of this paper I will attempt to: • Identify the types of damages. • Analyses the measure of damages • Look at cases where the concept has been used and the decisions. • Decide whether the concept achieves its purpose. Summary The Damages of contract law remedy is to compensate the injured part for loss caused by breach of contract, i.e. to put the injured party in the same financial position as they would have occupied had the contract been performed in its entirety.
