Commercial Law 1 Coursework Some of the provisions of the Companies Act 2006 which will come into effect on 1st October 2007 are intended to improve and simplify the protection of members of a company. Discuss the extent to which you think the new provisions will improve the position of members of a company. The Companies Act 20061, which was given Royal Assent on 8th November 2006, was created to reform and update the legislation on company law and to make new provisions relating to companies and other forms of business organisation.
