Page 1 of 3 Harlesden Poster: Young, gifted and dead It was a national debate. A graphic image was criticised as likely to cause distress by some church groups. A poster showing a young black man dripping blood of his own blood under the words "Young, gifted and dead", as it went up in Northwest London, in the early months of 2001 as part of a campaign to stop gun crimes. The posters (left), displayed in Harlesden, North West London, features a graphic photo of a young black man who's been shot lying on a pavement. Strong message for violent trend The 'Not Another Drop' campaign features a poster with a black youth lying in a pool of his own blood. There had been so many shootings amongst rival black gangs in one area of London, that the local council and police have introduced poster ads with a strong anti-gun message. The sprawled body...
