Assessment 3 - Topic of own choosing 1000 Words The topic of which I have decided to choose is related to the Armed Services and is "Should women be allowed to join the infantry". The reason why I have decided to choose this topic is because still to this day women are not allowed to join the infantry. The infantry accepts males aged between 16 to 33 years. When relating the question to philosophy it allows me to introduce a Functional conception of the right action to take, so if women are good enough to fulfil the position of an infantry soldier then they should be allowed to join whereas if they cannot fulfil the role of an infantry soldier then they should not be allowed to join.
