Cosmological Argument Essay * Outline the Cosmological Argument for the existence of God and assess its claims to prove that God exists. The Cosmological Argument is an inductive argument which attempts to prove the existence of God through the world and universe. It claims that the only adequate explanation for the existence of the universe is that it was created by God. However it is synthetic; as there is no conclusive answer and any answer which is found is only probable. The argument arises from human curiosity that invokes a number of intriguing questions about the universe in which the argument attempts to answer. In doing so it attempts to prove the need for a first causer for the existence of the universe; theistic versions arrive at God as this first cause.
