It is important to confirm that Descartes' First Meditation ('About the Things We May Doubt') illustrates his 'method of doubt' whereby he declares, "from my earliest years, I had accepted many false opinions as being true, and that what I had since based on such insecure principles could only be doubtful and uncertain". As a result, he therefore considers that "the slightest ground for doubt that I find in any (thought/opinion), will suffice for me to reject all of them". However, I would like to take this opportunity to express the view that this position is questionable, as one may argue whether it is philosophically possible to move from the above premise to the following conclusion.
