ORIGINAL SIN If we take a look at the book of Genesis we will see that when God had completed His work in creating the earth, he looked at what he had created and saw that it was good. Adam and Eve were included in this observation. However Adam and Eve were somewhat closer to God in that he created them in his own image and likeness. In Eph. 4.24; Col.3.10 we are told that some of the qualities that they shared with God were righteousness, holiness and goodness. We were, as descendants of Adam and Eve, also to be made in the image and likeness of God. It could be argued, however, that these qualities are not a part of every individual in the world today.
