Examine and Discuss the Key Strengths of the Moral Argument For the Existence of God (10 marks) Claudia Bicen The Moral Argument for the existence of God begins with the strong premise that morality exists. For most, if not all this idea is undeniable and therefore this is a reflection of how the Moral Argument has a good and logical foundation. However, even when the existence of morality has been accepted, the next step is to apply this to the concept of God and religion and propose ways in which morality leads us to believe in God and have faith in religion. The first form of this argument claims that objective moral laws prove a 'divine moral law', objective moral values prove a transcendent Ground of Values whilst the fact of conscience proves God, i.e. the voice of conscience.
