Tom Jones is a comic novel. A comic novel, by definition, is a novel that amuses the reader, sometimes with subtlety and as part of a carefully woven narrative. This novel is filled with comical scenes that the reader will find hilarious. Any reader that is a fan of comedy will find this novel to be something that once you read, you will not be able to put down because of the hilarious scenes and great plotline.
