Year 11 Physics Investigation How Powerful are You? In this investigation we are going to calculate the power output of three people doing various activities and compare them. We will need: Scales Stopwatch 3 Volunteers Stairs Measuring Tape Metre Sticks Method: We will weigh each volunteer and record the information in a table for use during the calculations. We are using three people because it is the fairest way we could use, however, if we had the opportunity it would have been even better if we could use more people. We will then time each volunteer up a staircase of height 332cm and record the times in a table. We will do this three times to make it a fair test. We will then repeat this activity with each volunteer carrying a load of 5kg and record the times in a table. This 5kg will be in the form of a full rucksack.
