HOLISTIC PROFILE Successful development is crucial for young children in all aspects of their lives, and these give children the opportunity to succeed in all the areas of learning. Consequently, I have conducted two observations on L (will be referred to maintain confidentiality), on her home environment. I have created this profile in order to know at which stage of development she is at. I have chosen L to conduct my observations because she comes from a lone parent family, and her mother is my next door neighbour. L is four years and eleven months old and she was born in May 2002, in East London. L's family is composed by her mother her untie, as she hasn't got more siblings from her mother's side because her grandparents died in a car crash when her mother was seventeen years of age.
