Physical attractiveness is one of the factors involved in the formation of relationships. This is supported by Walster's (1996) computer dance study whereby students; before the dance were asked to fill in a questionnaire and were told that the questionnaire would be used in pairing them with a partner. Infact the pairing was random except the height issue. Researchers were rating them in terms of attractiveness and similarity. After the dance they were asked if they like there partner and if they would like to see them again. Results of the second questionnaire was the more attractive their partner the more they like them and the more they hoped to see them again. This suggests that physical attractiveness may be a major contribution in the formation of relationships as other factors such as personalities and...
