"Consider the importance of Non Verbal Communication in a typical classroom" Communication in general is the action of sending and receiving messages that provides people to share knowledge, feelings, and skills. Although we usually recognise communication with speech, communication is composed of two areas: verbal and non-verbal. Non-verbal communication has been defined as communication without words. It includes apparent behaviours such as facial expressions, eyes, touching, and tone of voice, as well as less obvious messages such as dress, attitude and distance between two or more people. Non-verbal communication is also an important aspect of interpersonal communication in the classroom. From my own experience, as a student I know that there is a great deal of non-verbal signals spread from a teacher in a classroom which effect the atmosphere in the classroom, students moods, perception, learning and attitudes towards school generally.
