A person's learning style is the method through which they gain information about their environment. Howard Gardner developed eight different intelligences. He says each individual has the eight intelligences in various amounts. Our strengths and weaknesses in the intelligences influence how we learn. Implementing activities that call upon the use of all these intelligences help students achieve. Their grades will improve and they will retain more information for a longer period of time. I am interested in the multiple intelligences because I want to incorporate them in my classroom on a daily basis. I think Howard Gardner was really onto something when he develop and studied them. It is remarkable to think that there is something a little different about each one of us that makes us learn.
