Individual Position Statement I have chosen to study Early Childhood Studies (ECS) at East London University (UEL), because since my childhood I have always found pleasure looking after children. As a result of my keen interest I loved interacting with children, looking after relative's children and working privately as a child minder. I believe I have an excellent bond with children and my relative's see me as a responsible carer. During my time at Hammersmith College, as part of my course I had to go on several work experiences. I chose to do my work experiences in nurseries. While on work experience I very much enjoyed working with the younger ones and quickly realised how vulnerable they are and how important it is to address them at their level.
