Choose two texts from section two that persuade the reader. How does the writer use language, form and style to persuade? The aims of text thirty one are to inform and to persuade parents of potential pupils to send their children to St. Bedes' College, and a number of persuasive techniques are used throughout. The target audience for this prospectus are parents considering sending their children to a grammar school and the writer has emphasised the aspects of life at St. Bedes' College that they would consider important. Many of them are looking for a superior education for their child at a prestigious school, so for this reason, traditional values are emphasised throughout. On line six of the second section "A Living Faith," the school is described as providing "a rigorous education."
