At university, I hope to gain the qualification required to be an aeronautical engineer, which will give me the opportunity to fulfil my long felt desire to participate in the design of functional, yet elegant machinery.

Have a little read: ... It is startling how a single plane crash can sadly end the lives of so many people, yet it still remains the safest mode of transport. This is a triumph to the knowledge and skills that an engineer has. By the age of eleven after years of making aeroplane models, I was able to visit the cockpit of a Boeing 747 whilst on the flight back to London. Visiting the cockpit and observing the navigation controls inspired my interest of flying. As I progressed through school especially higher education, I also recognised I was highly interested and gifted in the field of mathematics. Becoming an aeronautical engineer will, in my estimation help me incorporate my two areas of interest into my everyday working life and career. I am currently studying Mathematics at A-level, Mathematics is one of my favourite subjects because it is at the heart of problem solving. The
