Thai mural paintings mostly depict the themes of kingship and the Lord Buddha. In terms of a hierarchical system, the relationship between the kings and the Buddha cannot be separated. The Kings was represented as a God or another part of the Buddha and he was the most powerful man in the story of Thai mural painting. 1. In the Ayutthaya period (particularly in 1656 or the time of Siam Empire -1767 or the end of Ayutthaya period), murals revealed with a high influential. The Ayuttaya paintings were figurative, from both human and animal figures or architectural buildings. The artist drew all figures by the tempera method.
