What feminist groups and organizations took part in the movement? How does this effect woman in the current times? Was it only about equality or were there additional motives? How did the outcome of the movement make a difference in today's changing society? The Women's Liberation Movement (WLM) blasted into its existence in the late 1960's after a period of related activity in feminism during the 1950's and quickly spread worldwide. Each group of women was fighting for different goals but one similar goal was the equality between men and women. The three main trends within the WLM were social feminism, liberal feminism, and radical feminism. The WLM in the United States fought within the civil rights movement all leaning toward equality.
