The Growth of Tourism. 1. E.g. 1868: William Finaughty killed 95 elephants which meant there was 5,000lb of ivory. Wildlife reserves Natural, primary, economic First reserve in 1892: Sabie game reserve in Transvaal. African hunters were banned and if caught were known as poachers. National park Secondary, economic, Natural Kruger national park runs along the border of Mozambique. Around is quite heavily populated. Only tourists in there cars once inside the park. Overnight visitors have to be on the camp by 6pm. All measures are to give as much protection to the animals as possible. Cheap labour Secondary, economic E.g. villagers from the surrounding towns/villages (e.g. Mozambique in South Africa's Mpumalanga province and northern province) would have a lot of job opportunities at the wildlife...
