Introduction Sex tourism is the dark side of the global phenomenon of tourism. Everyday we read about the benefits of tourism, its income and employment potential, its ability to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, its potential to overcome uneven development in backward regions of the world (Rao, 1999). We need to understand why sex tourism is being condoned and why more voices are not raised in protest against its continuance....
