After this evaluation I will go on to state how the industry and facilities can be improved. The industry of Stoke has changed a great deal in recent years, the coal mining industry has completely vanished after the closure of all the mines, such as Hem Heath, Florence, and Silverdale; also the decline in the pottery industry due to certain companies making pottery abroad cheaper has led to mass redundancies in the industry.
