Tourism Assignment Introduction "Britons are among the most unethical travellers in the world, ignoring global environmental damage and riding roughshod over local populations and their needs" This is a statement that was written in The Observer on the 28th October 2001 by a journalist called Nick Paton Walsh. This statement is meant to say that British Tourists when they travel abroad they don't think about what cultural damage they are doing to the area when they visit and don't care about the local people's needs. The article also said that only 1 in 10 British people were "ethically aware" about their holiday destination. The article went on to say that most locals don't get a share of the tourism profits and that British people care more about cheap drinks than being bothered about ethical issues.
