In 1945 the Second World War ended and it was a watershed in history and also in the development of the travel & tourism industry. There has been a very rapid growth since the 1950's. This was a result of related factors, including: - * Changing socio-economic circumstances: - o Increased car ownership, leisure time and higher income levels, which enabled people to travel on a more regular basis.
