... Examine the process of conceptualisation for two events. How was the concept developed? Who were the main stakeholders and what were they seeking? Were their objectives achieved? Festivals and events in different countries provide audiences with different contents and experiences, most of the events are related to the tourism industry. A successful event can be exciting and benefit a wide range of groups and people but a poor organized event can give visitors a bad impression and memory. Getz (1997:4) defined special event as a one time or infrequently occurring event outside normal programs or activities of the sponsoring or organizing body and it is a opportunity of a leisure, social or cultural experience outside everyday normal life. This article is going to examine the concept development in two events as well as identify their main stakeholders and what were they seeking. At last, address whether their objectives are achieved.
