... Events Industry This essay will demonstrate the large variety of the events industry. It will discuss, identify and analyse the means of this blooming growing business. Events are tremendously diverse and trying to define it as a complete homogenous structure is not possible because its complexity. There is one characteristic echoed by many: uniqueness. Getz (2005, p.16) "Every such event is unique..." Shone and Parry (2001, p.6) "...because of the uniqueness of events..." Goldblatt (2005, p.6) cited in Shone and Parry (2004, p.3) "... a unique moment in time...." The Cambridge Dictionary (2005) defines event as "Anything that happens, especially something important or unusual." This is not an accurate definition as everything in everybody's life will be an event, buying a house, climate change or just simply waking up each morning. A more specific explanation is the one in the Accepted Practises Exchange Industry Glossary of terms (CIC, 2003) cited in Bowdin
