A Report on a Professional Venue. On Thursday the 9th of August, I visited Stafford Gatehouse, in Staffordshire to interview, Daniel Shaw, the Manager of the venue. Below is the report of the interview. Q) Do the Amateur Dramatic Society's hire out the venue or do you book them, how does this work? A) " It is a bit of a mixture really, some amateur dramatics society's will contact me to see when they can book the theatre for their performances. They will then pay for the space they use; we give them a slight discount, but charge extra for the piano and dance floor. They normally get a grant from Stafford arts. They then will receive all the money from the ticket sales. Like the Stafford Gatehouse Youth Theatre, they book for summer school way in advance; we have just finished taking bookings for 2003.
