ISO 9000 What is ISO 9000? The ISO 9000 are generic management system standards, they consists of standards and guidelines relating to management systems. These standards are nothing but good management practices followed across the globe. The mission of these standards is to ensure that organizations deliver the products and services that, meet the customer quality and regulatory requirements, however they should not diversify from their main goal of enhancing customer satisfaction. The ISO practices are based on well-established quality standards such as BS 5750, which were followed in United Kingdom, CSA 2299 standards followed in Canada, quality practices followed in Japan and has also benefited from the military quality assurance specifications such as NATO AQAP. ISO 9000 standards are called generic management standards, as they are not product specific or organization specific standards.
