INTRODUCTION The behaviourist approach to the investigation of learning has been very influential. This draws on the insights derived from classical and operant conditioning. Classical and operant conditioning share many of the same basic principles and procedures. However, there are several differences between classical and operant conditioning. In the first section through some general examples to explain the differences between classical and operant conditioning. In the second part of this essay some examples are given in operating those two theories in managing people at workplace. It become very important to using the theories and make the working more efficiently. For this reason, the manager should be thinking how to use the theories in theirs right way, and there are some governable rules also should be accompanied to influence people to change their behaviours.
