The person that I chose to shadow was the marketing director at, "The Focus Room," a market research firm in White Plains New York. The reason for my selection of this individual, was because I worked in a section of this firm for a few months of the summer, and always wondered what he, Chris Driver, actually did during the course of a day. Chris is in charge of a variety of tasks that allow the firm to function smoothly from a day-to-day basis. The main objective of this firm is to hold focus groups, which are very specific groups of people that are chosen to discuss a certain product or service. Some of the main tasks that Chris deals with are, overseeing recruiting to make sure that the best people possible are recruited for each focus group, along with costing, liaison between client, negotiating the specifications that are necessary...
