The following report aims to examine a situation where internationalisation was vital to a company for survival. The company featured in this report is SEAT, a Spanish automobile manufacturer. SEAT was founded in 1950 by the Spanish government and the company had worked successfully under a license agreement with FIAT for many years. However, after a difficult few years mainly due to the 1973 oil crisis SEAT's competitiveness declined along with profits. Consequently, FIAT pulled out of an agreement with SEAT in 1979 and ended their affiliation together and by March 1980 SEAT's prospects...
