Often, the way that we lived before is not accepted or considered normal in the new location. Many things are different, for example, speaking a different language, different cultural beliefs, different communication styles and the way we dress (Furnham, 2005). This report will seek to illustrate, the culture shock felt by an Australian citizen who was born and raised in India. He is now working in Australia and is dealing with some cultural differences between his Indian culture and Australian culture as well as the culture that exists within the company he is working for.
