Competitors Analysis In porter's five forces model for Xbox, suppliers and customers have little power over Microsoft. Substitutes, like general-purpose PCs, have a much smaller market share than consoles on games market (Table 1), because they are not optimized for playing games. The impact of potential entrants is not clear now, but as game console emerges as a device with gaming, home entertainment and PC capabilities, dominant players in each of these industries would like to move into this space as Sony and Microsoft have done.
