Danielle Lant Friday 19th December, 2003 Classwork 9DP Are We Paying For A Name Would you choose a friend based solely on their name? Of course not, the idea seems absurd. Is it possible, however, that we might use such a ridiculous method when selecting the type of clothing we wear? In my opinion many of us do. Throughout my research I will be testing the hypothesis that teenagers buy more brand name clothes than generic name clothes. When people are in front of friends, there seems to be an emphasis on appearances, so many teenagers have a tendency to steer clear of clothing with generic names. To help me prove my theory I've asked five teenage boys and five teenage girls, all aged between thirteen and fourteen to answer twenty-six questions.
