Analysis of adverts Purpose and Audience The purpose of all four adverts is to inform the target audience of the product, and to persuade the consumer to buy the product, the language that is used by each company to advertise varies depending on the age group of the consumers that the product is being aimed at. Both the L'Oreal adverts are aimed at women aged from 30+ this is reflected in the hook of the L'Oreal advert 'Unhappy hair, first greys?', the audience range for the L'Oreal adverts is very broad and enables the advertisers to be flexible with the language used. The Clean & Clear advert is aimed at young women aged 17- 21, 'what better excuse for a full on pamper session than during a sleepover?'
