Advertising: Cultural Industry 63717 Major Assignment: How has the ubiquity of brands during your childhood, effected your present identity and choices? I feel that the bombardment of brands when I was younger has had an effect on my present identity and choices. It has deterred me away from brands today, although I also think that subconsciously I am choosing brands to be 'cool'. From the day I was born, my parents have provided me with essential products from Baby Co., shoes from Hush Puppies, toys from Mattel and food from Woolworths. This is when I think that it is not that I have relied on brands to be present in my life, but it is expected for brands to be present.
