Thesis: Advertising and Sales promotions are two major media communication instruments which when used together provide very good results and increase sales and therefore profits. They also help in giving credibility to the company and make the brand name and manufacturer's name stick in the minds of the consumer. Introduction Promotion refers to all the activities designed by the manufacturer to influence buyer behavior through communication. Communication, persuasion and motivation of the consumers are necessary so as to make them aware of the product and make it acceptable. There are several promotional tools out of which advertising is the most common. Other short - term promotional activities include activities such as displays, demonstrations, discounts and exhibitions and free gifts with every unit of the product in an attempt to increase sales of the product.
