Executive Summary The purpose of the report is to create a strategic analysis of the oil company Shell. The corporate strategy has been evaluated with reference to the global environment. The evaluation examines the efficiency of the current strategy employed by Shell in relation to its organisation and its performance against its major rival BP. The report aims to identify areas in which the organisation is struggling with and will offer recommendations for improvements and discusses areas of further development. In order to effectively analyse the strategy of Shell in detail the author has utilised various proven theories and models of business analysis such as SWOT and PEST analysis, Porters Value Chain and five forces model.
