In every sport whether it is a team, individual or racket game, leaders are needed to excel whether it is the captain of the team, or a player who takes charge of a situation. The style of leadership can be changed to fit different situations. Leadership is defined as "The behavioural process of influencing individuals and groups towards set goals" (Barrow 1977). The key points to becoming a good leader are: - * Decision Making - Needs to make the correct decisions at the right time and therefore needs experience * Good under pressure - A leader needs to work effectively under pressure to calm the rest of his team * High ability level - Need to be skilled at what they do or others won't...
