Since organizations, which are surviving in this changing environment, can not avoid these changes, they have to implement the planned changes to increase their performance to confront their competitors and adjust themselves to be fit in this changing environment. Waddell (2004) states "OD is a process that applies behavioral science knowledge and practices to help organizations achieve greater effectiveness".
