ABSTRACT This research is an investigation into the practices of multinational organisations' (MNC) managerial recruitment practices. It focuses on only one MNC i.e Siemens Pakistan and observes the parent organization's decision making in terms of choice of managers. The research aims to analyse in light of theory, whether Host country executives (HCN) or Parent country executives (PCN) are a better choice for an MNC subsidiary given the cultural environment of the host country and the cultural disparities between home and host countries. Theories put forward by various researchers have been analysed to develop a literature review. This theoretical framework is then compared with the adherent practices at Siemens Pakistan, i.e. Targeting PCN's or HCN's for managerial positions.
