Mahatma Gandhi had many victories that earned him the title of a great leader. This purpose of this paper is to focus on Mahatma Gandhi and how he became such a respected leader in our society. Gandhi (1869- 1948) was born in Port Bandar currently known as Gujarat in India pm October 2, 1869. Gandhi was raised in an average family in Bombay, India. His mother was illiterate and his father had a third grade education. Gandhi's father died when he was fifteen years old. Gandhi was the youngest of six siblings.
