INTRODUCTION Organisational commitment has been a focus of many research works in recent years, because of its importance to employing organisations. With today's high rate of employee turnover and floating working population it has become increasingly important for organisations to know how to retain employees and gain their loyalty (Martin & O'Laughlin, 1984). It is against this background that I have taken upon myself as a requirement of the Research Methods Model, to find out the relationship between job satisfaction and organisational commitment.
