Discuss Organisational effectiveness depends largely on the degree of 'fit' between an organisation's structure and its environment. To achieve more effective is the common goal for every organization and according to Gibson (1994) that effectiveness in the context of organizational behaviour [is] the optimal relationship among production, quality, efficiency, flexibility, satisfaction, competitiveness, and development. The effectiveness of an organization depends on a lot of elements such as the choice of strategy; the ability of leadership and the degree of 'fit' between structure and environment and so on. Organizations require acquiring resources form the environment in order to survive and continue to function. This forms the important aspect of the relationship between the environment and organization operating within it. So the fitness between structure and environment plays an important role.
