Business Ethics should constitute an important part of the University education of all students in Management and related studies Argue either for or against this statement Business ethics is a concept many people find hard to fully comprehend. Therefore, before I start to develop an argument either for, or against the above statement, I need to consider the term 'Business ethics'. Some say it is an oxymoron, in that it brings as one two contradictory concepts that cannot possibly act in harmony with each other. People believe a business's primary aim is to make a profit, and not act ethically in the process. Others believe that 'Business ethics is the study of business situations, activities and decisions where issues of right and wrong are addressed' (Crane & Matten, 2004, p. 8).
