Being Professional on a Big Six Firm From the case study, it shows that companies have been controlling their employees to a very personal level, such as culture, gender and even race. It is no longer to judge a candidate purely on technical ability or qualification. [Although due to recent change, passing professional exams is no longer sufficient enough, candidate must continuously take new exams to ensure they are up to date] Cultural control is important, especially for a Big Six Firm dealing with clients with exceptional expectations. But as well as cultural control, action control would also be needed since cultural control can only ensure the quality of the image, not the work.
